Curious George
Curious George has been around for some seventy years. The reasons for his longevity are obvious: the stories are fun to read and have subtle lessons about what can happen when someone is too curious. The little monkey and his caretaker, The Man with the Yellow Hat, are both good role models—caring, gentle and, in the case of the man, extremely patient. (The TV show is also good.)
Newer titles, written in the style of Margaret and H.A. Rey, continue the tradition of the series. One of our current favourites is Curious George Plants a Tree. Ages 4 and up.
