Cloudette

Picture from chapters.ca
This is a sweet story of a tiny cloud who aspires to do the same things as the big clouds she knows. She is not unhappy with her size. She actually sees plenty of advantages to being small, but she longs to “do big and important things” like other, bigger clouds.
Eventually she is blown to a new area where she makes new friends and, in providing water for a dried up pond, discovers that she can do those “big and important” things.
Cloudette is a strong, determined protagonist who has a positive outlook and clear sense of her capabilities. Through her story, kids learn the very valuable lesson that size doesn’t matter–even the smallest person (or cloud) can make a difference in the world.
